It’s been a demonstration of the law of unintended consequences for most of the day – a couple of weeks ago I logged a support ticket with the hosters of this here site to sort out the login names for the two accounts I’ve got with them – basically because they were one character short of identical, and I kept getting confused between the two.
That was done without any fuss – but then I discovered that it had caused unforseen problems with accessing the mySQL databases that hide behind a couple of my sites hosted up there. I didn’t need table-level access very often, but when you do, you do…
So I logged another support ticket, and things didn’t move quite as fast this time – and one or two other snags appear to have crawled out of the woodwork – so much so that I can’t log into the admin pages at all at the moment…
