		<description>Nice entry, you&#039;ve probably had loads of guys like me tell you by now but the METAR code uses FEW as 1-2 eigths of cloud, SCT as 3-4, BKN as 5,6 or 7 and OVC as 8/8 (total overcast) with the heights in 100s of feet, so FEW011 is 1-2 eigths at 1100 feet and BKN014 is 5-7/8 at 1400, not 11,000 and 14,000.
But as it stands, the Met Office are trying to improve, but you wouldn&#039;t believe the interia they have to deal with (both management and government level).
I get the feeling that @dogger might get more followers though.
